This is a Limited 50th Anniversary edition, known from the factory as Toyota’s “Special Version.”
This is no ordinary Mark X. Most will not have heard of this model, as it was produced in such limited numbers and has minimal information available online. This is the third Special Version to arrive in the UK, the first two were also imported and sold by ourselves.
Built by Modellista and TOM’s Japan in a joint collaboration, this car boasts 320bhp straight from the factory—impressive figures when it was first produced in 2006. To handle the extra power, Toyota’s engineers equipped the “Special Version” with various handling and chassis upgrades, along with subtle aesthetic enhancements to underscore its exceptional nature.
Factory 3.0 V6 3GR-FSE engine, built by Modellista and TOM’s Japan producing 320bhp from factory mated to 6 speed auto box (Gears can also be selected manually from the shifter)

Interior differences “Special version only”:
Light grey leather interior with dark grey heathered wood grain trim. The only interior option available that was dedicated to the anniversary model. The wood grain affect was added to various areas of the interior including door cards, centre console and steering wheel.

A genuine collector’s item in pristine, factory-original condition. Each and every factory “Special Version” attributes are retained.
Unbelievably this vehicle even retains the factory plaque provided by Toyota themselves which includes an engraved key tag stating that this is build number 29/100. Along with this it also holds the original Special Version dedicated owner’s manual and spare Special Version boot emblem. Furthermore, all other books, manuals and brochures have been well kept along with two keys. It's incredibly challenging to find such an exceptional example which retains all the original documentation which ultimately adds a lot of value to a vehicle of this nature.
Overall, the car is in excellent condition for its age (detailed pictures available). The interior is well-preserved, with no unpleasant odours. Unfortunately, this era of Mark X models is notorious for dash cracks. There are a few cracks present however not anywhere anyway near as bad as many others we have seen before. It drives incredibly well, with plenty of torque and power from the supercharger, producing an exhilarating sound. The vehicle’s underside is completely rust-free and has been treated to a transparent rust protection coating to preserve it for years to come.
A superb alternative to a Toyota Crown, this Mark X offers similar levels of luxury but is noticeably lighter, providing a more responsive and engaging driving experience. The supercharger and suspension upgrades deliver a thrilling drive, yet it remains a refined long-distance cruiser when needed. It would surprise many vehicles on the road, including its German rivals. If you seek a car that combines performance and luxury, this is the car for you.
Without doubt an opportunity that will not arise again. Quite possibly the lowest mileage Mark X Special version in the world. A vehicle that could be placed in a museum and preserved as an appreciating asset.
