This is a Limited 50th Anniversary edition, known from the factory as Toyota’s “Special Version.”
This is no ordinary Mark X. Most will not have heard of this model, as it was produced in such limited numbers and has minimal information available online. This is only the second Special Version to arrive in the UK, the first also imported and sold by us.
Built by Modellista and TOM’s Japan in a joint collaboration, this car boasts 320bhp straight from the factory—impressive figures when it was first produced in 2006. To handle the extra power, Toyota’s engineers equipped the “Special Version” with various handling and chassis upgrades, along with subtle aesthetic enhancements to underscore its exceptional nature.

Light grey leather interior with dark grey heathered wood grain trim. The only interior option available that was dedicated to the anniversary model. The wood grain affect was added to various areas of the interior including door cards, centre console and steering wheel

This is a true collector’s item in pristine, factory-original condition. All factory “Special Version” attributes are retained. The vehicle includes all original owner manuals, books, near full Japanese service history and two keys. It's incredibly challenging to find such an exceptional example that has been so well cared for in Japan. The previous owner clearly valued keeping this vehicle in its stock form and meticulously maintained it over the years.
Overall, the car is in excellent condition for its age and mileage, with very few exterior imperfections (detailed pictures available). The interior is well-preserved, with no unpleasant odours. While this model of Mark X is known for dash cracking, this example has only a few small cracks, much better than many seen in Japan. It drives incredibly well, with plenty of torque and power from the supercharger, producing an exhilarating sound. The vehicle’s underside is completely rust-free and has not been undersealed to conceal anything.
A superb alternative to a Toyota Crown, this Mark X offers similar levels of luxury but is noticeably lighter, providing a more responsive and engaging driving experience. The supercharger and suspension upgrades deliver a thrilling drive, yet it remains a refined long-distance cruiser when needed.
